Guest Blog Thursday: Your Nutrition Coach—Jane Ashley

Dear friends,

Do you eat breakfast in the morning? If not, you are NOT doing your body and weight loss efforts a favor. Fueling your body in the morning and breaking the fast (break-fast) is important to get your metabolism going so you will burn your food as energy and not store it as fat. Here's an idea that works for me—every morning, I have a breakfast smoothie. Smoothies are convenient - you can take them on the go - and are an easy way to get all the good stuff in for optimal energy that you will sustain throughout your day. Even a not-so-great blender will work! Here is my tried and true recipe - it’s chocolate, it’s got about 300 calories, tons of fiber, omega 3s and vitamins and minerals! I hope you will try this and give us some feedback. I’d love to hear about your OWN ideas for breakfast smoothies!
