JFBL:::guest blogger:::Tracee Dolan ON yoga mats.

This comes up alot! What yoga mat do instructors recommend? Yes, there is the 6.99 job lot, tj maxx, marshalls deal. Use one of those for starters for sure!

Sticky mats are great for hot yoga. Jade & Manduka are the main brands. I favor Jade, but I currently use a Manduka mat. The Ny times recommends the Original Eco Yoga Mat.
Another eco mat yoga maker is Prana. With any of these recommendations I promise! you can't go wrong :)
I also recommend a yogitoes cloth for your mat. If you are just starting out and want to use a regular inexpensive mat, go for the yogitoes as an add on.
It's about 50 bucks and you can wash it whenever you please-throw it over your mat- while you decide if it is worth it for your practice to purchase a sticky mat.

Yoga mats are a newer addition to yoga! Especially since yoga has been around for 5,000 years. So, practice where and when you want to & try your very best not to get caught up in the gear. :)
